PEI based Salad Company, Johnston’s Encourages Canadians to Support Local PEI Potato Farmers in Response to Recent Export Ban

[Charlottetown, PEI, November 29th] With its roots firmly planted on PEI soil for over 74 years, Johnston’s Homestyle proudly supports local farmers while they face challenges during supply chain restrictions.

As a result of a recent ban on fresh potato export to the US, PEI farmers are looking for alternative markets to save this year’s harvest.

Consumers can feel good when purchasing Johnston’s potato salads because they are made with 100% PEI grown potatoes which supports local farmers and their families. Our potatoes are fully cooked and undergo the highest standard of food safety and quality.

Although our products and supply chain are not affected by this ban, we stand in support of our local farmers and will continue to proudly purchase 100% of our potatoes from our PEI farmers.”, Randy Johnston
